A Deep Dive into Guitar PDF
This is a PDF of A Deep Dive into Guitar.
This book of music is intended for intermediate guitarists, though the first section is designed to help beginners get to the appropriate knowledge level quickly. It will briefly cover basics, such as chord shapes, picking techniques, and general information about the instrument. Then, it will dive into more advanced material, such as interval training across all modes, diatonic arpeggios, and knowledge of several less traditional scales. Each section will be prefaced by a brief dive into music theory, describing what will be learned in the coming section and how it might be applied in your playing. This knowledge should provide players with an in-depth knowledge of the fretboard and a better ear for their improvised solos.
It is recommended for guitarists to wait to move forward until they can play the previous sections by memory (without aid of the book). This should create a firm understanding of material, higher speed and technique, and the ability to implement the lessons in your playing. With this in mind, it can easily take a year or more before completion of this book, depending on your knowledge level coming in, as well as how frequently materials are practiced. This book is not meant to be fun, fast, or exciting, but the results are! Stick to it, and you will definitely become a better guitarist.
